Carbonate hardness and pH value are important water parameters. You can easily regulate and maintain the constance of the carbontae hardness and the pH value by using sera KH/pH-plus. A carbonate hardness level of 5 - 10 dkh in a freshwater aquarium ensures both a stable pH level as well as vigorous plant growth. The ideal range for a saltwater aquarium is 8 - 12 dkh.
